Description
Effective, March 23, 2020, Superior Physical Therapy is making the decision to transfer patient care to a Tele Health platform for the short term.
We strongly believe this is the only safe way to take care of our patients, families, and community. We all have a responsibility to slow the spread of COVID-19.
As the leader in Physical Therapy we will do all that we can to accomplish this goal. Superior has always implemented best practices and this situation is no different.
The CDC has asked us to follow three guidelines:
- 1) Maintain appropriate social distancing guidelines per CDC.
- 2) Wear PPE (personal protective equipment) when treating.
- 3) Only Emergency medical services should be offered at this time
All three guidelines present obvious challenges to us as physical therapists.
At the same time, the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) has suggested that Physical Therapists continue treating patients in a safe way. The goal being, to reduce and manage patient’s pain so people who are struggling don’t go back to the doctor’s office or to the emergency room. This is an increase in risk to patients, medical personnel and the public at large.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
